fireguy Supermoderator Oct 25, 2008 #2 Oct 25, 2008 #2 Is the slag sticky? Gummy? This would indicate the slag is too acid. If so, decrease the borax. If not, pushing the slag to the basic side a bit will make it come off cleaner and easier- increase the soda ash.
